| Plume is a robin who approaches everything in life like an unopened Christmas present. His intensity for life makes him very lovable, but also very impressionable. More than anything, he wishes to one day lead a flock of birds during southward migration. |

| Peck, a blue jay, is an old spirit of sorts. He's never really too surprised or enthusiastic about any aspect of his existing nature. As a result, he's always attempting to put a new spin on his daily bird rituals...no matter how absurd. |

| Heather is the love interest of Plume. She's the ear and voice of reason for him when he needs to vent any grief he gets from Peck. Although Heather is probably more intelligent than Plume, she is drawn towards his always sunny disposition. |

The birds are always observing human-kind, and Max is the main focus of their efforts. He is a generous, good-natured fellow who's in a constant search for purpose. Perhaps for this reason, he's also a victim of circumstance. |
